ABOUT MONIQUE
Monique Myers believes every woman has a story worth redeeming, a purpose worth pursuing, and a seat waiting for her at the table.
She is the Founder & Visionary of On the Journey, a faith-centered community created to help women heal from what they’ve walked through, embrace their identity in Christ, and step confidently into the life God is calling them to live.
A speaker, writer, leadership mentor, and community builder, Monique is passionate about creating spaces where women can experience authentic connection, spiritual growth, and lasting transformation. Through retreats, Journey Circles, The Table gatherings, leadership development opportunities, and speaking engagements, she encourages women to discover that they never have to walk their journey alone.
But her passion didn’t begin on a stage.
It began in the middle of her own story.
Like many women, Monique has walked through seasons of brokenness, grief, uncertainty, leadership challenges, and healing. She knows what it feels like to wonder if God is still working when life doesn’t unfold the way you expected. She knows what it feels like to carry responsibilities, navigate difficult relationships, and search for clarity in the middle of change.
And she has experienced the faithfulness of God through it all.
Those experiences shaped her belief that our struggles are never wasted. God can redeem what feels broken, restore what feels lost, and use every chapter of our story for His purpose.
Professionally, Monique serves as Assistant Director of Engagement & Access for UToledo Health, where she leads initiatives focused on community engagement, healthcare access, leadership development, and strategic partnerships. Throughout her career, she has worked in education, healthcare, nonprofit leadership, and community impact, helping individuals and organizations create meaningful change.
Her heart for leadership extends beyond her profession. Monique serves at CedarCreek Church as a GrowthTrack teacher, DreamTeam leader, devotional writer, and mentor. She is passionate about helping others discover their gifts, develop their leadership, and step into their calling with confidence.
As a writer, Monique shares devotionals, reflections, and resources that encourage women to build resilient faith, trust God in every season, and find purpose in both the mountaintops and the valleys of life.
At the center of everything she does is a simple belief:
Transformation happens in community.
It happens when women gather around tables, share their stories, encourage one another, and create space for God to move.
That vision is what led to the creation of On the Journey—a place where women can belong before they have everything figured out, grow at their own pace, and discover the freedom that comes from walking alongside others.
Monique lives in Northwest Ohio with her husband, Kurt, and is the proud mother of four children. Whether she is speaking, teaching, mentoring, writing, or simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, her greatest joy is helping women recognize God's presence in their story and trust Him with the chapters still being written.
Because the journey isn't over.
And God isn't finished yet.
