Mia and the Mapmaker is a Christian picture book series created to help children learn that they do not have to see the whole path to trust the One who is leading them.
Through gentle adventure, wonder, and biblical truth, Mia’s story invites children and families to explore courage, faith, obedience, and the steady love of God.
About the Story
Mia loves maps. She likes knowing where she is going, what comes next, and how to avoid getting lost.
But when Mia is given a map that only reveals one step at a time, she must learn to trust the unseen Mapmaker who knows the way ahead.
With the help of her cheerful blue jay companion, Scout, Mia discovers that faith is not about having every answer. It is about learning to follow the One who does.

The Heart Behind the Book
As parents, grandparents, teachers, and ministry leaders, we often tell children to trust God. But trust can feel abstract when life feels uncertain, confusing, or scary.
Mia and the Mapmaker gives children a story they can hold onto.
It reminds them:
God sees the whole path.
God is near, even when we feel unsure.
God gives us enough light for the next step.
God can be trusted to lead us with love.
For Families, Teachers and Churches
Mia and the Mapmaker is being developed as more than a picture book. The vision is to create faith-building resources that help families, teachers, and youth ministers talk about trusting God in everyday life.
Future resources may include:
Family discussion guides
Children’s devotionals
Church and small group resources
Activity pages
School and ministry visits
Additional books in the series
